Kuna is a fast-growing community offering affordable homes in a great location. Recent years have seen the population of this small farming town grow to almost 20,000 from just 5,382 in 2000. This accelerated development has brought many new businesses and amenities. Kuna still stays close to agricultural roots, and this peaceful town is surrounded by beautiful open countryside. Many of Kuna’s newer developments are bordered by farmland. Kuna is just 15 minutes’ drive from Meridian and similarly close to the Falcon Crest Golf Club and several scenic natural recreation areas. The Indian Creek flows through the heart of town, offering recreation on the water and along the adjacent paths of the Kuna Greenbelt.
Kuna is a welcoming community where greeting strangers on the street is the norm. The whole town gathers together for annual events such as the summertime Kuna Days carnival and the Down Home Country Christmas parade along Main Street. Kuna’s refreshing country landscape features numerous parks and nature trails for residents to get out and explore.
Kuna’s revitalized downtown area features lots of great businesses and striking public artworks. Enrique’s Mexican Restaurant serves classic south of the border dishes and happy hour beers and margaritas in a colorful, festive space. Big Mic’s Saloon & BBQ Smokehouse offers mouthwatering slow-cooked meats and 18 craft beers on tap. This lively space also hosts frequent live music performances. Idaho Pizza Company is the best place in town to enjoy delicious pies and slices prepared using locally sourced ingredients. Arctic Circle is a favorite fast-casual option with specialties including black angus burgers and halibut sandwiches served with fries and milkshakes. You can satiate your sweet tooth with tasty ice creams, sundaes, and frozen yogurt at Sprinkles on Top. The Coffee Cup Café offers great caffeinated beverages alongside classic breakfast and lunch plates. Latte Da also serves quality espresso beverages alongside smoothies and freshly-baked pastries. Bernie Fisher Park is an attractive greenspace that hosts lots of community events in the heart of downtown Kuna. The community’s signature annual celebration is the two-day Kuna Days festival in August. This classic country carnival features live music, rides, games, kids’ activities, and refreshments from food trucks and a beer garden. Kuna Days also features a hometown parade and a closing fireworks display. Colorful floats ride down Main Street during the Down Home Country Christmas Parade in winter. This popular event culminates with the lighting of the Kuna Christmas Tree in Bernie Fisher Park. The Indian Creek provides lots more recreational opportunities, from tubing down the river in summer to bike riding and walking along the riverside Kuna Greenbelt. Falcon Crest Golf Club offers 36 holes of golfing at one of the top public facilities in Idaho. Regularly ranked among the top five courses in the state, Falcon Crest’s nine-hole Falcon Championship and executive-style Robin Hood courses boast beautiful views and challenging play for golfers of every skill level. There are lots more places to explore in the gorgeous Treasure Valley countryside surrounding Kuna. Just eight miles drive from Downtown Kuna, the Kuna Caves descend for a quarter of a mile through ancient lava tubes. The 350-foot volcanic butte of Initial Point features an observation deck with mesmerizing views of the Owyhee and Boise Mountain Ranges. Twenty miles south of Kuna on the Snake River, Swan Falls Dam and Park is a popular fishing and bird watching destination with miles of hiking trails offering stunning canyon views.
